Shutterfly Instant Books Product Launch

The Objective

Revitalize photobooks portfolio with the launch of new 6x6 Instant Books. Convey the ease of turning everyday photos on your phone’s camera roll into tangible, lasting memories. Seeking a disruptive campaign that will stand out from the core portfolio, appeal to millennials and tout attributes of modern designs, streamlined creation path and low price point.

The Approach

Combining Shutterfly’s existing library of stock photography with the creation of product renders (which was new for Shutterfly and it’s legacy photography-based workflow) created an efficient approach that was a big win in terms of budgeting constraints and added flexibility in creating assets for on-going use cases. Solely relying on the campaign coming through via copy, tone and voice and the idea of the book cover being “snapped” right out of the moment heightened creative storytelling with nods to how quick and easy it is to make life’s imperfectly perfect moments into lasting memories.
